  1. I have never installed the LW-Pro disk myself.  Is it archived?  Perhaps you 
  2. could use a common archiving format (Lha, lz etc.) and put the archives on a 
  3. PC-DOS disk. This would make for more compatibility and make up for the loss 
  4. of disk space.  Actually, the filenames issue bothers me more than the 
  5. physical format issue.  I am just damn tired of 8.3 filenames.  Recently 
  6. installing LW 4.0 Intel just reminded me of that.  Time to install Windows NT. 
  7.  Now - anybody know what the filename situation is on an NT formatted floppy?

  9. Bottom line is that the correct solution is to issue the floppy in both 
  10. formats.  That really is the proper way to provide cross-platform support.  
  11. You say that is not possible though.  That being the situation, you get 
  12. to choose who to upset. Or rather, who you are not going to support(well - 
  13. properly at least).
